Terms of Use

These terms of use govern the rights and obligations of visitors and users (hereinafter referred to as "You" or "the user") of the websites Vetee.pet, uVeterinare.ai, and Vetee.ai, as well as the mobile application Vetee (hereinafter referred to as "the Website" and "the Application") of the provider Vetee.ai s.r.o., with its registered office at Boudníkova 2538/13, 180 00 Prague 8, Reg. No. 19961685, a business company registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Municipal Court in Prague, Section C, File 394694, email info@vetee.ai, tel. +420 602 180 886 (hereinafter referred to as "the Provider"), and other platforms of the Provider (websites, mobile applications, social media accounts, etc.) for which these terms apply mutatis mutandis.

1. Website and Application Content

The content of the Website and the Application includes information intended for you as a user from the general public. This mainly includes articles in the field of veterinary care for pets intended for the general public, information on ongoing events related to the topic of pet health and links to other websites, organisations, specialists, and veterinary clinics, information provided in response to questions asked by the general public in the field of veterinary care for pets and related topics, as well as specialised services according to the current offer in the field of veterinary care for pets. Our services also include individualised veterinary advice, alerts via email and push notifications, discounts from our partners, and the option to purchase a Premium membership, and the like. We use artificial intelligence tools in providing our services.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Website and the Application, you express your agreement to these terms (you enter into an agreement for the provision of our services under these terms). Your registration and use of our services mean that you are receiving these benefits according to the current version of the terms of use.

3. Registration

To use the full range of services of the Website and the Application, registration is required. To access our services, register using an Apple ID or Google ID, or another similar third-party registration service, thereby creating your user profile, which you will log in to according to the chosen ID. Within the service, you are entitled to edit the information in your user profile according to the current situation. When using our services and in registration, you undertake to provide true and up-to-date information. Incorrect or outdated information may lead to the restriction or incomplete provision of the service, or its inconsistency with your actual request. Within your profile, we will allow you to create files for individual pets.

4. Charges for Services

a) Basic services and content on the Website and in the Application are provided free of charge. However, some services (such as the advice centre) may be provided for a fee; we will always notify you in advance of this fact, as well as the amount of the required payment. More detailed information on prices and other terms for the provision of paid services or Premium membership (under which the advice centre services can be used according to sections 5 and 6 below) will always be specified by us in advance of their use or activation, so that you have the opportunity to familiarise yourself with them.

b) Payments can usually be made through an online payment service provider in the form of online payment. We reserve the right to provide Premium membership through vouchers issued by our business partners (with the understanding that these vouchers, as well as their periods of validity or expiry, may be limited or changed by us or our business partners).

c) If we establish the option of a subscription for our services for a certain period of time, you are bound to pay the agreed subscription for the entire period, even if you decide not to use the services. This fact is not a reason for the early termination of the ordered subscription.

5. Advice Centre

a) Part of the services provided on the Website and in the Application is an advice centre with a veterinarian, in which veterinary doctors (referred to as veterinarians or vets) answer users' questions. Answers are provided to general user queries based on information entered by users, where no verification of this information takes place, nor does any possible physical examination or other inspection of the pet occur. This involves general answering of queries in the field of veterinary medicine based on the latest knowledge, along with the use of artificial intelligence tools. However, this does not constitute the provision of veterinary services in the sense of veterinary therapeutic and diagnostic practice. We explicitly inform users that within the advice centre service, general information on the entered query regarding pet health and care is provided, not veterinary care.

b) If the service permits, the Provider, acting as an intermediary, will enable the user to enter into veterinary care agreements with individual veterinarians providing advice and other services. The user will always be notified of this fact within the advice centre (meaning that in such a case, general advice will no longer be provided, but the veterinarian will directly provide the user with veterinary care services, for which they will be responsible under legal regulations, in particular according to Act No. 166/1999 Coll., on Veterinary Care. In such a case, the Provider will only be in the position of an intermediary and is not responsible for the content of the veterinary care, being responsible only for the transmission of information for the provision of veterinary care services by a specific veterinarian within the service requested by the user.

6. Submitting a Question in the Advice Centre

To submit a question, you must use the prescribed forms on the Website or in the Application, where the prescribed information must be filled in as mandatory if required. Answers to questions are usually communicated within 8 hours of submitting the question, unless the Provider specifies otherwise on the website. We will inform you that your question has been answered via an email message, with the option of a push notification on your mobile device.

7. Personal Data Processing

For the use of our services, the processing of personal data is necessary. You can familiarise yourself with the Privacy Policy on the Vetee.ai website.

8. Rights and Obligations of Users

By using the Website, the Application, and our services, you acknowledge that a breach of these terms or legal regulations, as well as damage to the rights and legitimate interests of our company, may be grounds for refusing to provide our services and denying registration (cancelling the user account). It is forbidden to damage or otherwise interfere with the rights of the Provider, other users, and third parties, and not to abuse, block, modify, or in any other way interfere with the functioning of the Website, the Application, and Vetee.ai services. Furthermore, we would like to point out that we deliver the provided services in the highest quality with regard to the type of service provided, however, we are not responsible for their application or adjustment of their suitability to the health condition of your pet, and we always strongly recommend seeking a veterinarian in case of any doubt (and in urgent cases, visiting a veterinary emergency room).

9. Rights and Obligations of the Provider, Disclaimer of Liability

a) The Provider undertakes to provide services in accordance with currently available professional knowledge and technologies and to protect users' personal data in accordance with applicable laws.

b) The Provider bears no liability for damages incurred in connection with the use of the services, and users acknowledge that this involves only general information based solely on the texts and descriptions from users, which can be generalised to the given situation and can never replace actual veterinary care provided by a specialist with a physical inspection and examination of the pet. In the event of actual health difficulties of your pets, we always recommend seeking treatment by a veterinarian and consulting the situation with them in person along with an inspection of your pet. The Provider is also not responsible for the application of information obtained from the Website and the Application by the user without consultation with a veterinarian regarding the specific situation of a specific pet.

c) The Provider reserves the right to restrict access to the services (for example, to establish limits when asking a question in the advice centre or other restrictions). It will always notify users of such facts within its services.

10. Copyright Content

The Website and the Application and their content are protected in particular by Act No. 121/2000 Coll., on Copyright, as amended, and Act No. 89/2012 Coll., Civil Code, as amended. In these cases, a user in the position of a consumer can also use the platform for online dispute resolution, which is established by the European Commission and is available at the web address: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/.

Liability for Defects

b) Pursuant to the provisions of Section 1921 of Act No. 89/2012 Coll., Civil Code, as amended, the User may assert the right from defective performance in court if they have pointed out the defect to the Provider without undue delay after having the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the subject of the Provider's performance and discover the defect, either by indicating the defect or notifying how it manifests itself. The defect can be pointed out within six months of receiving the

subject of performance. Procedure for pointing out a defect: a defect can be pointed out in particular in the form of an email message sent to the Provider's email listed in the header of these terms or in writing to the Provider's registered office. The Provider will resolve the defect without delay, but no later than within 30 days of its receipt, and if this is not possible within this period for serious reasons, it will notify the user within the said 30-day period, stating when the defect proceedings will be resolved. Please note that in the event of entering into an agreement for the provision of veterinary services with a specific veterinarian, the defect must be pointed out to that veterinarian.

13. Changes in Content and Services

The Provider reserves the right to change the content and access to its services. Planned major changes to the content of the Website and the Application and changes to their use will always be accompanied by the date of the change, and users will be notified in advance by a notice on the pages or via an email message, if possible.

14. Validity of the Terms of Use

These terms, as well as any changes to them, become valid and effective at the moment of their publication. The Provider may unilaterally change these terms by publishing new terms, whereby the new version will be posted at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
